After that (without disconnecting the cable), I again searched for the printer as a wireless printer from within the Kodak installation software and this time it was found and installed! It was as if in some way, using the USB connection to install the printer first had revived its wireless connection!

The solution I found was to plug in the USB cable between the printer and my PC and by running the Kodak installation software I loaded the software suitable for the USB connection. However the printer itself displayed that it was connected to the network and it also had been allocated an IP address by the wireless router so it showed all the signs of being connected.
The printer could not be found on the network. When I ran the Kodak installation software (Kodak Aio Home Centre) it said that the printer was "disconnected". It had trouble connecting the printer to the wireless network. Here is a solution I found (quite by accident) to a wireless connection problem with my Kodak 5250 all-in-one printer.
